Japanese Hand-Woven Fish Basket
Hand woven basket has intricate rim work. Head strap is a braid weave with a wide headband. Tight chevron weave on basket body runs horizontally at rim and bottom and vertically on bulk of basket. Basket is extremely sturdy and strong yet supple. Beautiful rush hand weaving makes this basket a work of art. Basket can be displayed or used as storage. Some wear on carrying strap but generally in very good original condition.
