We are showcasing people who buy Midcentury at our store. Clients have good-naturedly consented to pose. We will periodically post photographs of buyers with their "stuff" either in the store or in their homes. You'll see folks from Richmond-- The Fan, Oregon Hill, West End, Far West End, across the river, North Side, Henrico, Goochland, Hanover, Petersburg, and north to Fairfax and down Williamsburg and Norfolk way. Our faithful keep coming back to Metro Modern to talk, to look, to make comparisons with other sources and eventually to select a keeper for a special place in their home. Half the fun is knowing who gets what, where it's going and and why. We genuinely appreciate having repeat customers and we are happy to meet new ones. We thank you. All of YOU create our success.

Cate Bray

Cate Bray found this Harvey Probber style sofa comfortable enough for lounging, relaxing and napping. Although she very much appreciated the sofa's hard wood construction she was also pleased that the sofa's clean, contemporary lines made excellent seating for her many guests who drop by her Fan home.

Matt Graham

The Paul McCobb Planner Group desk and Italian Lucite & Chrome chair will be carefully placed in Matt Graham's beautifully edited home in the Fan. Matt has successfully blended antiques and mid century pieces to create a uniquely sophisticated environment which is both restful and welcoming.

Jeff Moten

Jeff Moten and his wife, Stephanie, have very eclectic tastes. They both like mid century modern furnishings but also like the whimsical and fun such as the artisan Santa Fe, New Mexico copper and crystal mobile. Jeff plans to hang the mobile on extended copper wire in an area of their Short Pump home which has 20+ foot ceiling.

Courtney and Scott Jamison

Courtney and Scott Jamison love hunting for treasures. They are slowly seeking mid century furniture for their Blacksburg, Virginia mid century home and were thrilled to find this Danish teak shelving unit. They were even more thrilled when it actually fit into their Jetta Volkswagen for the trip home.
